If you have read the original topic, you may already be aware of the fact that the owner of Tokyo Toy Factory (eBay link), namely kurisutohu on this forum, has sold, among others, convertions of Metal Slug 1 AES Jap. You may not be surprised to find his games in many collections, since japanese shops, Yahoo and eBay have had the privilege to be chosen for these sales.
HPMAN gave proof that Laurent Klein from Neo-Ayato has also taken part in this "business".
You may wonder how it may be possible to sell converts for the price of an original game. Well, the answer is quite simple: these games looked legit on first sight. They all had an insert/sticker/notice, which could do the trick. You cannot but imagine that such a great work had the price of an original game. Which is fair... Oh, wait!
These persons are now behind NEO CONCEPTION INTERNATIONAL, those who released Treasure of the Caribbean and Bang2Busters.
You can read some of their e-mails below, courtesy of ShOOrs. I won't translate this part, but I am sure you will find a way to have them translated.
