We are able to get our hands on some inside info about the upcoming sequel to King Of Fighters series. The info is mostly taken from alpha testing reports.
*There is a new main character (as K' was in KOF99). However, the character design is neither handsome nor cool. (hope, its not some crazy sh*t like K9999)
*So far, Whip, Kyo Kusanagi, Athena and a few other are playable. (Athena, yay!)
*Whip and Mai Shiranui are same. (oh well. Whip should at least get one more DM)
*Kyo is also pretty much same with his 99-02 outfit.
*Athena has been slightly toned down. (so, they did realize she was overpowered)
*Some 20+ character portraits have been seen, including Benimaru Nikaido, Leona Heidern. One portrait looks a lot like Jhun Hoon, but his entry is yet to be confirmed. (Jhun! double yay!)
*Missing amongst portraits were Angel, K9999 etc. (IMO, its a good move. others opinion may differ)
*The gameplay system is quite new. (anything but 01's power system, please!)
*no strikers are seen yet.
*there will not be any official word or news till November.
Note: The above information is confirmed and verified to our best knowledge. But still, the information is taken from Alpha Tests, which are done at very early stage of development. Don't be surprised if you see Angel or K9999 when game comes out.
